France's Top Beauty Retail Apps in Q1 2024: A Sensor Tower Data Snapshot

In the first quarter of 2024, the French beauty retail app landscape saw varied user engagement across the board. Data from Sensor Tower provides a comprehensive look at the top contenders in this market segment.

Sephora - Maquillage, Parfum maintained a strong user base, with weekly active users peaking at 169K in the second week of January and settling around 140K by the end of March. Downloads for the app saw a high in early January at approximately 47K, but experienced a general decline throughout the quarter, ending at 21K.

Nocibé also experienced fluctuating activity with downloads starting at 21K in the new year and dipping to roughly 10K towards the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, peaking at 39K at the start of January and decreasing to approximately 26K by the quarter's close.

Beauteprivee - Ventes privées saw its downloads begin at 9K and decline to around 6K by the end of Q1. Despite this, the app’s active users showed resilience, starting at 94K and, after a slight mid-quarter dip, ending on a relatively stable note at 89K.

Marionnaud – Beauté & Soins presented a modest download count starting at 5K and experiencing a drop to 3.6K, with weekly active user data not available for this period.

Lastly, Notino: profumi e cosmetici showed the most varied download pattern, spiking to nearly 7K in late January but generally hovering below 5K for the rest of the quarter. Active user counts began at 24K, peaked at nearly 29K in late January, and then followed a downward trend to close at around 19K.
